What is OT?

Occupational Therapists (OTs) are health professionals who assist people to overcome difficulties/ limitations with their everyday occupations. OTs are trained at university over a four year period and are registered by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board of WA.

An occupation is any task performed during daily life that is meaningful or purposeful to the individual. For example work, school, play, recreation, self care and domestic tasks.

A paediatric Occupational Therapist works with children to assist them to reach their potential in their daily occupations. A child’s occupation revolves around play, school, community activities and self care.
